Pluto goes direct in Capricorn
I don’t often have the chance to write about Pluto in terms of planetary movement but it is significant what Pluto does on Thursday 28th September. Pluto is coming out of its retrograde position in Capricorn, to go direct in the same zodiac sign.

Pluto goes direct in Capricorn and we’ve all been waiting, since 19th April, for this to happen. In pragmatic astrology Pluto represents transformation through elimination. It is a liberating energy and teaches us to share our power with others so as to empower them. In this way we deepen our contact with others and operate straight from our heart (note the heart shaped image on Pluto) and it rids us of our ego and any pretence in the process. There can be no pretence with Pluto – it is a seeker of truth and there can be no self delusion with this influence.
This planet helps us to let go of things and people that have gone past their ‘sell by’ date – things, people and thoughts that don’t nourish our souls and perhaps never have. Focus is given to clearing out the old to make way for the new and the fact that Pluto is combined with the zodiac sign of Capricorn is significant.

If you think of the symbol of Capricorn – the Goat steadily climbing its mountain – you get to understand the dynamic of this sign – persevering, ambitious, reliable, disciplined, professional and supportive. This sign never gives up! It digs deep and is hugely self reliant, believing that everything it works for is earned and not down to luck. There is no such thing as a free lunch with this sign! This is a completely determined energy; tenacious, deeply passionate and creative.
