Mercury is Retrograde in Taurus! In a week of retrograde activity, Mercury is the third planet in the last few days to go retrograde; preceded by Venus retrograde in Pisces and Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius. So if communications are going all over the shop at the moment Taurus and you’re feeling generally frustrated that things haven’t been moving forward the way you want them to, take a deep breath and reflect.
Mercury is Retrograde in Taurus! In pragmatic astrology Mercury influences our ability to communicate effectively. It rules communications and methods of communication at every level; verbal, digital, thought processes, words, actions, you name it, Mercury’s energy is quite tangible. Phones, laptops, desktops, tablets, all of these things can start misbehaving as well as your basic ability to put two words together! Those with Gemini and Virgo energies strong in their astrological DNA (whether it’s your Sun, Moon or Ascendant sign) will feel the fluidity and volatility of Mercury very strongly.
Taurus represents steady productivity in pragmatic astrology. This is a very generative sign with careful planning and solidity at its core. When Mercury is retrograde in the zodiac sign of Taurus, this is when the full force of the Bull’s rage can be provoked. So instead of ‘losing it’ when we feel the effects of Mischievous Mercury, now is the time to let go of things which are holding us back; rid ourselves of any inner inertia and indecision and take time to look at things again to find the right way forward.
As the Sun enters Taurus on 20th April, so retrograde Mercury leaves Taurus and continues its retrograde path in Aries for a short time until it goes direct in this sign on 3rd May. Luckily the influence of these planets going retrograde gives us all time to think things through; making sure we’re approaching things in the right way after proper consideration. It’s when we hurtle forwards without due care and attention that the biggest mistakes are made so use this time to regroup, making sure your messages are on point and fully considered.
Until the next time, with love Stephanie x
